JULIA ALCANTARA - PHOTOGRAPHER (INTERVIEW)
Meet Julia Alcantara, a brazilian photographer currently based in Savannah, USA and discover these beautiful and stylish portraits.
In a few words, tell us a little bit about yourself?I’m a fashion designer from Brazil, currently living in the US. Photography always made part of my life, that is why 4 years ago, my sisters and I created our personal blog named Tudo Orna (www.tudoorna.com) where we daily share some of our experiences and lifestyle.How long have you been a photographer?I feel that I consider myself a “moment catcher” since the blog began. Or maybe some time after that.How was your first shooting? What did you shoot?My first one was with a family member, with the best family member photo shoot style. It worth some good stories to remember and smiles.What does photography mean to you?First of all, memories. Also, I love the idea of communicate with images. A photo can carry a lot of messages, and is so great that we can create different things every single time.What inspires you?Passionate people inspires me. Passionate for their job, their mission, their family. Passion is always the best way of inspiration.What do you want your viewers to feel in front of your work?I definitely want that people feel inspired by my work. I want them to feel that my work was made with passion.How important is a website in your career?Essential. Your website is the way that you have the opportunity to show people exactly who you are. Your identity, your work, your effort, everything is there and will show.What’s your next goal?My next goal is work and live for a while in NYC, then come back to Brazil and always keep inspiring people with my photos and make them feel good with exactly who they are.
